Prepare your flight!

To get to Bali from the USA or Mexico, you'll likely need to take a series of flights, as there are no direct flights from these countries to Bali. Here's a general guide:

IMPORTANT. We do not recommend searching for flights straight to Bali, because the cost is much higher! It is better to book a flight to Singapore for example and the buy another flight to Bali.

Fly from the USA:

1. Fly to a Major Hub in Southeast Asia:

   • Most international flights from the USA to Bali connect through major hubs in Southeast Asia, such as Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, or Hong Kong. Common departure cities include Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, and others.

2. Connecting Flight to Bali:

   • Once you reach the Southeast Asian hub, you can then take a connecting flight to Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) in Bali.

Tips for a better and cheaper flight:

• Book a Round-Trip Ticket:

  • Consider booking a round-trip ticket, as it can sometimes be more cost-effective than two separate one-way tickets.

• Check Visa Requirements:

  • Make sure to check visa requirements for the countries you'll be transiting through, especially if you plan on an extended layover.  Note: A visa is required to enter Bali.  You can either get it online before your flight or receive it when you land in Bali at the airport.

• Consider Layover Times:

  • When booking connecting flights, consider layover times to ensure you have enough time to catch your next flight.

  • Use flight search engines to compare prices and find the most convenient routes.
